Diamonds, Parallelograms, & Flowers -- Oh my!

This Geo-Floral Dress ($56 via Le Tote) from Charlie Jade is wild and fun! I love the colors, I love the funky pattern -- interweaving diamonds, parallelograms and flowers.

I mean this dress, matched with the Camilla Lace Stretch Choker ($18 via Le Tote) and Sondra Roberts Zipper Front Mini Satchel ($50 via Le Tote) -- I just felt like walking straight to a music festival or a fun night on the town.

I get it -- the design can be a little intimidating -- especially when you look at it up close. But from a distance, it really just looked like a nice floral dress. Then when people got closer, many actually complimented me on the ornamentation! Comfortable, yet chic. Really loved this outfit!

Where's my pink convertible?

I feel like a Barbie Doll in this outfit.

The accessories are so glam. The dress colors pop! And the design is classy, yet fun...

I had way too much fun walking around in this. Each item made me smile so big. Ladies and gentleman -- you know how it feels when you just feel so on-point. This ensemble did that for me :)

I have a strange style. Sometimes I'm a little grittier and edgier with my personal look. Then my business attire is clean and simple. I really don't like to go over the top too much.

But I embraced the unicorn colors and trotted around with pride. This outfit made my heart sing, I felt like I was part of an old musical -- compelled to dance, frolic, spin and swirl.

I learned that sprinkling some bright colors into your wardrobe can really brighten your mood. So while baby pink, magenta and cyan are -- frankly -- never my go to colors,  I'm glad I gave them a try.

Maybe the bright colored outfits is why Barbie's always smiling, haha!?

Comfy + Modern + Hippie = This.

Sondra Roberts, Acrylic Printed Clutch ($15) -- Splendid, Chevron Wrap Dress ($29) -- Jessica Simpson, Coin Stretch Bracelet ($28)

Had way too much fun with this outfit. Decided to just throw together a bunch of items from my Le Tote package -- that I typically wouldn't match together!

The Splendid Chevron Wrap Dress, while is great for the office, is incredibly comfortable and I mainly wore it around the house. But I decided to dress it up with this flamboyantly ornate Sondra Roberts Acrylic Printed Clutch. And then I tossed in the Jessica Simpson Coin Stretch bracelet that I find very Boho. Comfy + Modern + Hippie = This.

To top it all of, this adorable hat from Forever 21 that I bought years ago. Gotta love that store.

I guess I just really liked this outfit because I just didn't care and took a chance on it and ended up liking the result. So don't be afraid to add together A + B + C  --- and just C what happens ;)

Boho with BCBGeneration

BCBGeneration - Boho Off Shoulder Dress via Le Tote ($54)

Boho, bro! Comfortable, beautiful, unique. I need more of this in my closet. I took a risk and instead of going with my typical business attire, I requested this BCBGeneration Boho Off Shoulder Dress from LeTote ($54).

As many of you know, I am nearly 6'2" so I just get scared whenever I see these flowy dresses. How is it going to look on me? Like a shirt? Will the billowy sleeves cut off at my elbow...#TallGirlProblems

Fortunately, with this dress, the sleeves fell mid-forearm. I thought it really flattered my figure with a belt. And -- well -- everything's a little short on me, let's be real, but the length was not bad! Great find for warmer weather!

It was comfortable, adorable and it showed off the shoulders but was not too revealing. Fun and flirty. So...the Boho look from BCBGeneration -- go on with your bad self.

Tahari goes Tropical

Graphic Palm Dress $63 via Le Tote

Elie Tahari dresses are just clutch. I have so many in my closet. The fabric is always nice, they have great colors and patterns. They always fit nicely and are great for work. They create incredible business attire.

The latest Le Tote did not fail, delivering this little number. The Graphic Palm Dress only costs $63 dollars and it's got a fun pattern, that's not too over the top and there's so much black in the dress that it's still very slimming!

It also has a great wrap -- and y'all know what I think about wrap dresses ;) Another great piece from Tahari, with a little tropical flair.

P.S. Did you like how we had palm vegetation in the background, while sporting the "Graphic Palm Dress"... eh , eh? Hehehe!

Leota for the win!

Leota's bio on their Instagram page reads, "We do perfect dresses, made in the USA. Always flattering, never wrinkling."

Sounds too good to be true, but it's true. LeTote sent me the "Sweetheart Cut Dress" (on sale for $69) and this dress fit perfectly, comfortably, and I absolutely loved this color blue and the pixelated pink, white and black design was really cool.

And flattering is right! Obviously, every woman has a different body type, but for me, my best asset (in my opinion) is my collar bone and if it cannot be seen, then I flat out no the dress will not look good at me. This has a great cut, it almost fit like a wrap dress (which wrap dresses look great on pretty much every body type). I really liked how it looked.

The material was soft, stretchy and comfy, but not too sheer -- thick and strong. I really want to try out more of their dresses. Easily, one of my favorite dresses from LeTote so far.

Preppy Patterns

My personal style is not "preppy". It just isn't. When I am at work, I wear business attire. But I usually steer clear of blouses, polos and dresses that I think I'd see my mom wearing at one of her tennis matches.

However, Le Tote sent me a couple dresses recently that I thought I was going to hate, but I actually really liked them. The "Printed Shift Dress" from AVA ($58 on sale at Le Tote) popped to me. I loved the pink, loved the black and white pattern, the design.

This "Keyhole Block Neck Dress" from London Times ($68 on sale at Le Tote) also had a stunning pattern -- and I LOVE green.

So, despite my leanings for edgier, trendier outfits, I adored these preppy patterns!

Add a little spice to that little black dress

We all know how clutch a little black dress is. We have heard it countless times from our mothers, grandmothers, friends -- maybe even from a boyfriend or husband. You can never go wrong with black.

But ladies, jazz it up. You and your dress need to pop. So don't just go with straight black. Make sure it has a really fun, risque design or cut. Maybe it has some nice accents or a little pattern.

It's OK to be simple and some woman can rock a plain, black dress without any frills, but I also encourage you to be daring with the color as well. Add a little spice to that little black dress.
